The Wilmington University Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) provides students who hold a nursing diploma or an associate degree in nursing with increased knowledge in the field of nursing. The Trauma Informed Approaches (TIA) certificate complements degree programs in Psychology, Organizational Dynamics, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, Government and Public Policy, and Legal Studies. A certificate in trauma informed approaches will prepare students to work in a highly recognized model of wellness, which supports resilience and recovery, promotes positive health outcomes, prevents the worst outcomes of psychological responses, and integrates knowledge about the pervasiveness of trauma in systems in policies, practices, and procedures.
