Medical Assisting Training at Spencerian College
Spencerian College has been educating students since 1892 and is part of the Sullivan University system which is Kentucky's largest private college system with over 6,000 students. Spencerian offers career-focused curriculums in business, medical and technical fields. Spencerian College is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award certificates, diplomas, and Associate degree programs. Medical Assistant Program
The objective of the Medical Assistant Diploma program is to prepare the graduate with the confidence and skills necessary to perform clinically in a physician's office, to handle the administrative duties, to assist in patient care and to perform appropriate medical procedures. The Medical Assistant Diploma program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB), thus allowing graduates to sit for the national certification exam.
Day Program: 12 months*
Evening Program: 18 months*
*Plus exam review and externship. The length pertains to graduating in normal time.
