The Bachelor of Applied Health program is designed for professionals working in health care who desire to advance their careers by completing a bachelor's degree. This degree exposes students to management and leadership in health care while building on previous coursework and clinical experience. Typical students may be nurses, laboratory/radiology technicians, or other allied health professionals advancing to supervisory roles or professionals in long-term care facilities needing additional coursework for licensure.
The undergraduate program in health management prepares graduates to plan, direct, and coordinate medical health services in hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, human service organizations, government, and other health-related organizations. Students take an array of general education, technology, management, and health care-related courses, as well as specific courses designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of the health care system, including crucial leadership skills.
