Triad Tech was founded to provide short term training and national ASPT Certifications for people who want to work in health care at Triad Tech.
Phlebotomist draw blood from patients for testing purposes. They work under the supervision of the medical technologist or laboratory managers. You will need 100 successful sticks and 20 finger sticks to take the National ASPT Board Exam. We work with syringes, vacutainers, and butterflies. Also Monovette needles and the multiflys from Starstedt. You will also learn how to stick hands and feet.
EKG Technicians are responsible for performing electrocardiogram tests in order to record and monitor electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. This assists a physician in diagnosing and treating cardiac and blood vessel irregularities. These tests include basic EKG's, Holter Monitoring (portable EKG which records activity for 24-48 hours), and Stress Tests (treadmill).
Patient assessment: Vitals, occupied and unoccupied bed making, patient care needs, special patients care need, lifting and transferring patients, chart documentation, catheter care, intake and output.
A Paramedical Examiner performs insurance physicals. The responsibilities may include collection of blood via a venipuncture, collecting a urine sample, obtaining the client's medical history, recording vital signs, and performing an EKG. It is very important to be accurate on filling out all the proper forms.
A medical assistant performs clinical or administrative tasks in doctors offices, hospitals or health care facility of choice. This is a six month course with class two days a week. Choose from two national board certifications.This course covers both front and back office procedures.
