    Also offered online

    This program is designed to prepare you for a career as a multi-skilled medical assistant. You will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work in clinical and administrative settings at hospitals, clinics, medical labs, diagnostic centers and doctor’s offices.   • Nursing, AS

    This program will prepare you for entry-level registered nursing positions. You will learn the affective, cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to provide holistic, safe, culturally sensitive care to a wide variety of clients. You will be awarded an Associate of Science Degree upon graduation.

  • Online Medical Assistant - Diploma

    The purpose of this program is to prepare the student as a multi-skilled medical assistant. This is done through the acquisition of the knowledge and skills that are necessary to work in clinical and administrative settings at hospitals, clinics, medical labs, diagnostic centers, and doctor’s offices. In addition, the program offers options for entry-level positions such as front office procedures, back-office procedures. Students will be able to apply for the American Registry for Medical Assistants (ARMA) registry.


  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Technology, AS

    This program is designed to prepare the student for performing ultrasound procedures. The student will be trained to develop his (her) skills on the knowledge of interpretation of sonographic images. The student will be able to conduct ultrasound procedures in abdomen, pelvis and small parts. Training will cover organs of abdomen and pelvis, and obstetrical and fetal evaluations. The program prepares the students to pass the national certification exam.


  • Medical Coding & Billing Specialist, Diploma - Online

    This program was designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in a variety of Health Care facilities as Medical Record Coder, Coding Technician, or Coding Clerk. The students will learn to translate diagnoses and procedures into numerical codes, using the International Classification of Disease (ICD-9-CM) and the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT-4). The students will be trained to prepare and file insurance claim forms for reimbursement.

    Have you always wanted to work in healthcare but are not sure which path to take? If the sight of needles or blood doesn’t faze you, consider pursuing a career as a phlebotomy technician. A phlebotomy technician is a medical professional who is trained to draw quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for medical testing. Phlebotomy technicians often work at hospitals, doctors’ offices, labs, blood donation centers, and clinics with patients who may be nervous or anxious around needles. Florida National University (FNU) offers a Phlebotomy Technician Certificate program at our Training Center in Hialeah, Florida.

  • Medical Assistant Technology, AS

    This program prepares the student for entry level employment as a medical assisting technologist in administrative and clinical settings such as hospitals, clinics, medical labs, diagnostic centers, and medical offices. The program includes a fifteen-credit-hour component of general education/ liberal arts courses. The student is prepared for challenging the CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) and the RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification examinations, and the National Certification exam of Phlebotomy. FNU awards an Associate of Science Degree upon completion of the program.
