What Does a Medical Sonographer Do? 

By working as a medical sonographer, you will be able to help doctors and specialists diagnose and treat certain conditions, diseases, and injuries. Sonographers use high frequency soundwaves to take and interpret medical images, helping doctors diagnose and treat conditions. They may use ultrasound to examine a pregnancy, or to image vascular systems, or focus on abdominal conditions.

While many medical sonographers work in hospitals, you may also find jobs available in specialized labs and other healthcare clinics. You will collaborate with doctors and nurses, and work with patients from various walks of life. You may perform imaging on infants, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
