Ross offers a variety of healthcare training programs across 40 individual campus locations to help prepare students for careers and certification in specialized medical fields.
The Medical Assistant program provides class instruction on basic human anatomy and physiology, disease processes, medical terminology, first aid, assisting with examinations, and CMA procedures.
Instructors also give direction on administrative office skills including medical charting and filing, basic word processing and computer information, customer service skills, and various other routine office procedures. After successfully completing the MA program, students should be prepared to work in entry-level positions in a physician’s office, clinic, or other medical setting.
During the Ross Veterinary Assistant program, students will be instructed to function as an assistant to a Veterinarian and/or Veterinary Technician. They should complete the program with an understanding of veterinary ethics and law, animal anatomy and physiology, terminology, animal care activities, and technology and equipment used.
Experienced training school instructors will give direction on software used, medical records and documentation, and administrative/clerical procedures and duties. A graduate of this program should be prepared to work in an entry-level position in an animal clinic or hospital.
Occupational therapy assistants work alongside and under the supervision of occupational therapists. They assist occupational therapy clients as they relearn and develop typical daily life skills like eating, getting dressed, working, driving, etc. Occupational therapy assistants can be found in a variety of settings and working with many different types of patients.
The Occupational Therapy Assistant Associate of Applied Science degree program can prepare you for the opportunity to help improve the quality of a person’s life and ability to perform daily activities through rehabilitative exercises and activities. Working as part of a rehabilitation team and under the supervision of an occupational therapist, you will find occupational therapy assistants in a variety of settings including hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, home health care, early intervention, school systems, and psychiatric hospitals.
