D. A. Dorsey Technical College has a rich and positive tradition in the Liberty City area of Miami. It was established in 1936 as the Miami Dorsey High School. D . A. Dorsey Technical College currently offers a full complement of adult basic education courses. These include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and basic reading, writing, and arithmetic. There is an adult high school completion program that meets all credit requirements for a high school diploma as well as General Education Diploma (GED) preparation course. Certificate programs are available for various vocational areas. Classes available on campus night and day. Financial aid available to those who qualify.
