Since 1995 Career Quest has provided ambitious students with new opportunities in career education. Our campuses are conveniently located in Bay City, Jackson, Lansing and Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Our dedicated staff and faculty are committed to helping you succeed. We realize that your education doesn’t end in the classroom. As you approach graduation, our Career Services will help you put together a resumé, portfolio and provide interview coaching. You’ll also have access to free tutoring to help you prepare for certifications that are important to employers.

The Career Quest learning experience is hands-on. Students in every program practice with tools and technologies required in real-world applications. Our instructors bring proven experience and skill to the process and genuinely enjoy sharing their knowledge.

Medical Billing & Coding

Health care providers need a strong, qualified administrative team to function properly.

If you are interested in a career that helps people properly receive the health care services they need, consider Medical Billing & Coding training from Career Quest Learning Centers.

Our 8-month* Medical Billing & Coding program will teach you how to perform important tasks including electronic medical recordkeeping as well as medical coding and billing. You'll also learn basic anatomy, physiology and medical terminology along with government regulations such as OSHA and HIPAA. Our dedicated instructors understand the importance of these tasks and will help you learn the skills needed to become an integral part of a health care team.

You’ll also perform a real-world externship that allows you to apply your skills in a medical setting.

Medical Assistant

Today’s medical doctors need a qualified, dedicated support team to assist them in the delivery of health care to those who need it. If you want to work alongside physicians and play a key role in the health care field, consider seeking Medical Assistant certification from Career Quest Learning Centers.

In the Medical Assistant program, you can learn to assist physicians during examination and treatment. These skills will allow you to perform a variety of laboratory and clinical procedures.

Medical Office Administration (AAS)

Career Quest's Associate of Applied Science in Medical Office Administration Degree is a 15 month* program that will get you well on your way to a promising future in a successful new career. Your knowledge will put you in a strong position to help get the job you want in medical office and clinical support administrative positions.

Our Medical Office Administration AAS Degree graduates learn communication, presentation and time management skills, in addition to knowledge of data privacy regulations as applied to patient records. Employers also realize that Career Quest graduates in this field possess the knowledge required for proper medical office management and medical law and ethics.

Certified Nurse Aide

At Career Quest Learning Centers, you can become proficient in a high-demand field: Certified Nurse Aide. Greater need for services and rapidly evolving healthcare regulations mean more opportunity for employment in this exciting area. Your knowledge will put you in a strong position to help get the job you want and advance your career and your life.

Upon graduating from Career Quest's three-week Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program, you will have the skills to assist residents in attaining and maintaining functional independence. You will have a good grasp of basic nursing skills and will be able assess a resident's health and well-being. Recent CNA graduates have found jobs at Right at Home, Burcham Hills and Chelsea Retirement Center, among others.

Possible Career fields with this program include:

Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy is a fancy term for drawing blood. Phlebotomists, also called phlebotomy technicians, work in hospitals, clinics and other care settings, drawing patient blood for testing and disease diagnosis.

At Career Quest Learning Center, you could train to work as a phlebotomist in just three weeks with our accelerated curriculum. Students are taught the following skills:

  • Blood collection methods using proper techniques and safety precautions including: vacuum collection devices, syringes, capillary skin puncture, butterfly needles and blood culture specimen collection
  • Urinalysis, vital signs, anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system
  • Infection control, proper patient identification, proper labeling of specimens and quality assurance
  • Specimen handling and processing

After completing the program, graduates are eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification exam. Job titles that graduates of the Phlebotomy Technician Program could qualify for include:

  • Phlebotomy Technician
  • Phlebotomist
