Pharmacy Technician diploma students have the opportunity to learn the basics of drug interactions, medical abbreviations, and dealing with patients. Training also includes a background in anatomy and physiology, and courses in first aid, career development, and computers, as well as pharmacy law and ethics.
For residential campuses except for Knoxville, TN, Remington College uses PioneerRx, so our students can apply the knowledge and methods they learn in the classroom to a simulated pharmacy environment.
Remington College’s Diploma in Medical Office Administration program is designed to help prepare students for an entry-level position such as administrative medical assistant, medical office administrator or medical billing or collections specialist. Graduates from the Medical Office Administration diploma program may be able to work in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, medical supply businesses, and at home health agencies. Our Medical Office Administration diploma allows full-time students to complete their diploma in as few as 8 months!
With Remington College’s diploma program in Medical Office Administration, students will be able to study the fundamentals of medical office administration, healthcare practices, medical terminology, the structure and function of the human body, and the basics of medical coding.
Remington College’s Medical Assisting with X-Ray Tech (Limited Scope) diploma program was designed to help prepare you for a career within the healthcare industry. This diploma program offers classroom instruction as well as hands-on lab and clinical experiences. Study limited X-Ray procedures, medical insurance and coding, patient billing, and more.
X-ray technology is more than just looking at the structure and shape of bones; it is an important way to see inside of the human body and to assist in the diagnosis of diseases, conditions, or injuries. With the hands-on training provided in Remington College’s X-ray classes, you can participate in both classroom and laboratory study of limited X-ray procedures. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how to apply your medical assisting skills to correctly operate x-ray equipment, position patients, and develop X-rays of their internal structure. Please note that this program should not be confused with an X-ray technologist program.

In as few as 8 months, our Patient Care Technician training will give you the skills and knowledge needed to provide direct care for patients.

The Medical Assisting Diploma Program provides training in both administrative and clinical procedures. The objective of this Program is to prepare graduates for entry level positions as medical assistants in a clinical or administrative role, to include insurance billing clerks, medical billers, laboratory technicians, or medical receptionist in work locations such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and home health agencies.
Program completion normally requires 9 months.* The Program is divided into 9 monthly academic periods (modules) comprised of 8 months of classroom and laboratory instruction and one externship period. Classroom and laboratory instruction may be delivered residentially and via distance education (i.e., online). In order to be eligible for the externship period, students must successfully complete all courses in the academic periods and must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Upon successful completion of all areas of this Program, graduates will be awarded a Diploma in Medical Assisting.
